First off, if your out there putting in miles, you are in fact a runner. Back in 2015, I ran everyday. I had gotten to where I was running 8-10 miles consistently, then I fell off the wagon. But 10 years later, and I just completed my first 10 miles in 10 years! YAY! So proud! This by far has been my toughest run since starting back. The hills were killer. My normal route is typically about 150 feet of elevation gain. This run coming in at 643 feet of elevation. ANNND now my legs are dead. But I said I would, and I did. I do have the most fantastic running partner and friend Dianna, who holds me accountable and cheers me on! If you don’t have one, I would suggest getting one!! She is the support that I needed getting back into this journey. And it is a journey.

Running is such a good head space for me. I love how I can sort out all of my life’s problems or none at all. My mind can be so busy, or so still. I think what I love the most is the mental push. Call me crazy, but I do love running.
So far this year, I have signed up along with my running pal, for the Shamrock Shuffle 15k in March! And then training for my first half marathon in May! I am really looking forward to this one, as it will be the longest distance I have run! Plus a weekend away with a great friend, wine, and running. What more can a girl ask for?!
I can’t wait to see what more I can accomplish with my running goals this year. One day I will run the St.Judes Marathon, and hopefully many more then after! If you have any running tips/advice or gear you love then let me know!! Thanks for following along on my journey!
